Langtree School

Langtree School was our first solar school installation of 2016, with 384 solar panels installed on the school’s rooftop – owned and managed by Low Carbon Hub. Two thirds of the panels are installed on the sports hall, and one third on their flat school roof.

Langtree school have looked extensively at options to reduce their carbon emissions, and recently also installed a biomass boiler alongside their solar panels – they are one of the first schools to have both of these technologies.

The school has also successfully attained an Eco-Schools Bronze Award for their environmental activities working with their pupils.
