Banbury community action group
Banbury CAG formed in 2013 to run free local community projects on food, waste, transport and energy.
With the aim of making Banbury a brighter, greener and more sustainable place to live they created the Bridge Street community garden for the community to be able to grow their own healthy food and share positive experiences in a sociable and safe place. They also started the Browning Road Community Orchard by planting donations of trees and now hold regular community events there.
They hold thriving repair cafes and Give or Take swapping events. They are currently focussing on transport and have formed Banbury Active Transport Supporters Group (BATS) to support all active travel and clean air opportunities by drawing up a local cycling and walking infrastructure plan.
