Tomorrow (Thursday 4 November) afternoon, our CEO Barbara Hammond will be taking part in a panel event: ‘How communities can co-ordinate and collaborate to play a more active role in the future energy system’. The session will look at the critical role communities will play in the transition to net zero.

There are two other panel discussions happening in the same afternoon:
- ‘Delivering infrastructure to support the decarbonisation of cars in a cost-effective and fair manner’
- ‘How flexibility in the energy system will improve efficiency and lower costs for consumers’
The event will be chaired by Laura Sandys CBE, and joined by representatives from National Grid ESO, University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University, Low Carbon Hub, Origami Energy, Baringa, Element Energy, the Energy Systems Catapult and Disabled Motoring UK.
