Over half a million pound invested in latest Community Energy Fund round
Thank you to everyone who has invested in the latest round of the Community Energy Fund, together you have invested £516,000 in support of community energy.
Since the reopening of the share offer, people have once again demonstrated their commitment to fighting climate change and supporting the transition to a better energy system by putting their money to work.
The Community Energy Fund supports the Low Carbon Hub’s mission to tackle the climate crisis through the development of community-owned renewable energy projects, such as solar PV installations on schools, businesses, and community buildings across Oxfordshire.
“We are thrilled to see such support from the community,” said Barbara Hammond, CEO Low Carbon Hub. “Every pound invested goes directly into building a better energy system, and this success brings us closer to our vision of an energy future that benefits everyone.”
And as investor member, Dale Hoyland says:
It’s not just about financial returns, it’s about making a positive impact on the world. The Low Carbon Hub empowers individuals to align their investments with their values and contribute to a sustainable future.
The latest investment round will go towards Low Carbon Hub’s renewable energy projects and as always, all profits from our projects will go into further carbon-cutting ventures and supporting local communities.
With this achievement, the Low Carbon Hub is inviting more people to join the energy transition as together we continue to work for a zero-carbon future.
The Community Energy Fund is an open share offer. Please see our website for the latest investment opportunities.
