Ray Valley Solar launch document!
Celebrating the energisation of Ray Valley Solar with a new launch document.
Construction, and energisation, of our first ever ground mount solar project Ray Valley Solar is now complete. At 19.2MW installed capacity it is the UK’s largest community-owned solar park and can generate enough green electricity each year to power over 6,000 homes.
To celebrate this momentous project for Low Carbon Hub, we have put together a launch document that covers information on everything from funding, innovation, biodiversity and more.
It’s important to mention that this project wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our community investors. We’re so grateful to everyone who has invested in our work and enabled us to continue with our mission of meeting our energy needs in a way that’s good for people and good for the planet.
Ray Valley Solar marks a significant step change in Low Carbon Hub’s renewable energy portfolio, resulting in a five-fold increase in generation. As well as directly increasing Oxfordshire’s green energy generation, thanks to our community-ownership model, Ray Valley Solar also significantly boosts our ability to provide community benefit: a sustainable, long-term funding stream for carbon-cutting action on climate change across Oxfordshire.
